We are done showing for the year, and what a year it has been. Sage Acres HO Bucket of Magic was Jr. Champion. We had 4 of the 8 does lined up in GCH line up, and also recieved the Premier exhibitor for AOP's at the Eastern Idaho State Fair. It was an exciting year for us. Our Grandson's Jace & Gus both exhibited goats this and participated in the Little Cowpoke Rodeo. Jace was holding Bucket when she went Jr Champion. Hopefully we will have all the pictures of the kids posted soon. Check back soon! More updates coming soon!

Been a while

It has been a while since I have posted anything! We came home from the show in May and the summer has just gotten away from us. Here it is fair season already! Our little doe Hy kidded a couple weeks ago, talk about cute kids! Bucket who was born on our way to the TVDGA show is now 10 weeks old and quite the looker! We have her pic up on the webpage, even though she is not clipped. We are hoping to have clipped pictures done when we are at one of the fairs.

We are also getting ready to plan our breedings for the fall, of course Riley will be used, and we are hoping to bring in some semen to ai Magic, Hy, and Lilly.

As soon as fair results are available, we will have those posted as well!

Back from the Show

We are back from the TVDGA show. Fast trip but what fun!! Our buck went Jr. Champion in the specialty show! We got to Margie from Blythmoor, she is such a kick! And we brought home Lilly and Hyacinth from her herd.
Thanks Margie!! Since we have so many 2 year olds, we are offering Harmony Mtn. Ranch Zoe for sale. Zoe is a very correct doe, with good feet and legs. She needs some work in the udder department, and is currently milking 3#'s a day. You can see her on the website, and email us for more information.

Hopefully we will have newer pictures up soon!

Update

Here it has been almost a month since our last post. We have just got the website somewhat updated, ran the paperwork on Loki to go to Canada, and hopefully have the last two lamanchas sold as well. We have or are bringing in new Nigerians! They are so cute and should finish our starter herd very well. The new barn and milkhouse will be built sometime in May.
Today again the wind is very strong here. House is rattling, dirt flying and all the other good stuff that goes along with a windy day.
Hopefully we will get nice weather and can finish up the yard planting soon.
Until next time..........................................

Sold!!

It is done, our Lamancha buck has been sold! He is being exported to Canada! We are very excited for him and his new adventure. It can't be any colder there than it has been this year for us. We are just about out of snow finally, but the wind is still howling. I am so ready for spring!

Warming up

The weather is finally warming up. Most of the snow is gone from around the house, though we still have a few 3ft drifts in spots. The wind is still howling over the hill too. We currently have Deb Wilson working on a new logo for our website, it will be debuted the same time that the renovating of the site is completed. As of today the lamancha doe kid is not named officially or unofficially for that matter. Sava is not milking as expected, hopefully she picks up soon.

Until later................................................

Snow Again!!

Here it is mid March and I am beginning to feel like we live in Minnesota or something. We got another 2 inches of snow this morning. There is suppose to be another storm on it's way too.
This morning our lamancha doe Sava kidded with twin does. One had its head back and was born dead. Its a good thing that Henry was home to handle that one. The remaining doe kid appears to be a nice kid, she is pretty good sized too and already standing strong. I have no clue what we are going to name her yet, but she should be named by the end of the week.

Now if the snow would just go away---------------------------------------------->
