We have a lot of people wondering why we are offering buck kids so cheap out of our best does. There is a train of thinking on our part for this. We have been out of the show loop for about 12 years now. Yes we hit the State Fair, but that has been about it. This year we are hoping to hit more shows and really get our herd back out there. By offering good kids at great prices we are not only promoting our herd, but it also brings up our herd name for others when they ask "where did you get your buck". I will admit it's mostly for promo, but they are also extremely well bred bucklings. We don't keep a buck out of every doe and the doe had better be darned nice to keep a buck out of her. One of the things we ask ourselves when evaluating a kid is "do we want 100 of the dam?" If the answer is yes, then we are comfortable with that decision. Of course there is no such thing as a perfect goat, but we are always striving to get there.
Tomorrow brings a new adventure, we are going and looking at a Fjord for Henry. It is something he has wanted to get into for quite some time, and with the selling of his boer goats, he can now have one.
Until next time......................................................................
